MyCareFile

Terms of use

Last updated 1 November 2026

These terms apply to the MyCareFile app and this website. Apple's standard licence agreement for apps from the App Store also applies to the app.

Not medical advice

MyCareFile helps you record and share health information. It doesn't give medical advice, and it doesn't diagnose, treat or monitor any condition. Always follow the advice of your doctor or other health professional. In an emergency, call 000.

Your information

You, or the carer using the app, enter all the information in MyCareFile, so it may be incomplete or out of date. You are responsible for keeping it accurate and for having permission to record information about other people, such as family members. Health professionals should confirm details with the patient, their GP or pharmacist.

Keeping your records safe

Your records are stored only on your device. If the device is lost or the app is deleted, the records are gone unless you have a backup. Please back up regularly and keep your backup password safe: we can't recover it.

Purchases

MyCareFile includes a free trial and one-time purchases made through Apple's App Store. Payments, refunds and Family Sharing are handled by Apple under its terms.

Our responsibility

We work hard to make MyCareFile reliable, but we can't promise it will always be free of errors or available. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from information entered in the app, or from relying on it instead of professional advice.

Using the app fairly

Please don't copy, resell or reverse-engineer MyCareFile, or use it in a way that breaks the law. The MyCareFile name, logo and app are ours.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms, and will change the date above when we do. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Questions: hello@mycarefile.com.au.
